Infectious Diseases Research

Infectious Diseases Research Group

Lead: Dr. Amina Mohammed Established: 2021

Our team focuses on understanding the epidemiology, pathogenesis, and control of infectious diseases that disproportionately affect African populations. We conduct research on malaria, tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, and emerging infectious diseases.

We employ molecular biology, immunology, and epidemiological approaches to develop novel diagnostic methods, vaccines, and treatment strategies. Our work aims to reduce the burden of infectious diseases in Nigeria and beyond.
